Late 2014 Ubisoft surprised everyone by bringing out a JRPG, build in the engine the Rayman games run on.Surprisingly enough, it actually is an awesome game!
You play as Aurora, a young princess who went to sleep in Austria and woke up in the world of Lumeria. She just wants to go home, but in order to do so she has to save the Moon, Sun and the Starts, first!
Gameplay
Time flew by for me while playing this: Lumeria looks gorgeous, the music, art and characters kept me entertained throughout the whole time: I do love RPGS, but sometimes, even with a game I love, I catch myself getting a bit bored of all the running around, grinding, etc. etc.
Child of Light didn't do this to me, at all: In fact, I went out of my way to fly around, hoping to find some more hidden secrets.
Battlesystem
The battlesystem is turnbased and you can only use 2 partymembers at once, However, you're free to switch around as much as you want without any real penalties.
All in all, I still blow at writing reviews but I've had a LOT of fun with Child of Light; it's a great little gem of a game that won't give you a minute to feel bored.
It's relatively short (I finished it in around 10 hours) but that's fine, seeing the full price is around 15 euro's.
