So, after breaking my leg in august and therefore getting stranded on my grandparens couch for a while I got drawn back into my old love, mmo's, and especially World of Warcraft, which ate up a LOT of my time.
Anyways, last week I started, and finished, Shadow of Mordor.
PS3: The game itself was awesome, but the freaking loading screens simply drove me insane,
So, I decided to resell the ps3 disc and buy it on the pc, through one of those ubercheap gamecode resellers.
The pc version was AWESOME: Barely/no loading screens, flawless gameplay...
And, of course, the ORCS and nemesis system:
Everything you do influences the power struggle of the orcs around you, and the way they react to you in recurring matches:
If you die, or they win a battle with another orc, or whatever they level up/gain more power. If you injure them, for example burn them, they kind of hate you and the next time you see them they'll be covered in burns.
I probably don't do it justice, but I just LOVED fighting all the orcs! I probably had more fun hunting down warchiefs/captain than actually following the story.
The story:
The storyline is interesting, but then again, I just love the Lord of the Ring universe, so all the background stuff actually meant something to me.
The end:
I don't want to spoil it to much, but I was so disappointed... I also bought the Season Pass, but I'm still so bumped out by the ending I can't bring myself to play through the season pass things..
Guess I'll give the game a rest, while I'm playing batman, and pick it up again later to slay some more orcs <3
